Training and Information

The Early Years Specific Always Children First programme is a three tier training programme.

Tier One

The Tusla ELearning Programme

This programme should be completed by ALL staff members, students, volunteers and stakeholders in Early Learning and Care Settings. The programme is available here:

Tier Two

The Always Children First Child Safeguarding Awareness Training Foundation Level

Completion of the Tusla ELearning Programme is prerequisite for attending the Always Children First Foundation Level Programme

This is a six hour programme that can be run over one full day or across two, 3 hour sessions. This programme is facilitated by trainers from the City and County Childcare Committees (CCCs), Comhar Naíonraí Na Gaeltachta (CNNG) and Childminding Ireland. This programme is primarily aimed at the Designated Liaison Person (DLP) and Deputy Designated Liaison Person (DDLP) in Early Years and School Aged Services nationally.
