The Early Years Specific Always Children First programme is a three tier training programme.
The Tusla ELearning Programme
This programme should be completed by ALL staff members, students, volunteers and stakeholders in Early Learning and Care Settings. The programme is available here:
The Always Children First Child Safeguarding Awareness Training Foundation Level
This is a six hour programme that can be run over one full day or across two, 3 hour sessions. This programme is facilitated by trainers from the City and County Childcare Committees (CCCs), Comhar Naíonraí Na Gaeltachta (CNNG) and Childminding Ireland. This programme is primarily aimed at the Designated Liaison Person (DLP) and Deputy Designated Liaison Person (DDLP) in Early Years and School Aged Services nationally.
Please see the Child First Child Protection revision webinar. This webinar was developed to highlight the key elements of the face-to-face Always Children First Foundation training. Its purpose is to serve as an interim revision resource for Early Years practitioners during the Covid period.
